SHOW CHOIR
Show Choir? What the heck is Show Choir?
Well, Show choir is what our Fall Choir turns into in the spring when they do their awesome productions like High School Musical, Grease, and the upcoming Disney Extravaganza!
Because we don’t say line or have dialogue, but we only sing and dance- we are more likely classified a Show Choir! Probably the only elementary Show Choir Ever!!!!!
But that’s cool huh?
So here is how it works.
To be in Choir in the fall, you need to audition, and then your parents meet. We can only take 30 choir kids this year! (BUMMER)
In December there will be a SHOW CHOIR Parent meeting, which is the only way you can audition for show choir, is if your parent, or grandparent, or guardian attends that meeting!!!
Then Auditions are a week long. You will be given two audition days. That way we don’t have 100 kids trying to audition in the same day!
This year, we are casting for the following parts:
3-4 Male lead vocals
4-6 Female lead vocals
**10 dancers and back vocals**
That’s a cast of 17-20 people only!!!!
That’s 30 less people than we started with in Grease this year!
The rehearsal schedule will be different. When you look at next year’s Show Choir Calendar you might gasp!
But unlike grease, these kids will have some weeks with no rehearsals and some with all rehearsals.
I will hand you a rehearsal schedule with specifics at the Show Choir Audition Parent Meeting!
